During the second semester of AP Physics, we move from the big topics that dominated the first semester – Kinematics and Dynamics – and head towards a proliferation of new alternate approaches to old problems (Energy), new types of motion (rotations), and the impact of new and powerful forces (electricity and magnetism). All the while, we’ll be developing problem-solving essential strategy guides for those who are choosing to brave the daunting AP Physics 1 exam, widely known as the most difficult of all the AP tests. To that end, we’ll be having extra weekend sessions and mock AP tests in the month leading up to the exam to give the students everything they need to predict what sort of problems they’ll be faced with, and have at the ready the best solution techniques for efficiently cutting them down to size.
